![]() The great tragedies the artist has been exposed to are evident, such as the great migration of 1997 to Hoboken ("Niggas move weight in the South but live in Hoboken"), or the overall decline in hearing capacity of today's youth due to loud club music which damages their cochlea: "Damn, damn what they say about me?" she asks, repeating twice. Minaj is paying homage to Shakespeare by alluring to his immortal line, "to beez or not to beez". My InterpretationThis is truly a deep song by a great, great artist. ![]() ![]() ![]() Let alone using Waves or UAD in pro tools or true Analog gear and a real console. A great mixer with a great recording of a great arrangement of a great song can deliver a great result with stock plugins in free Garage Band. We all know that it's about skill more than it is about the tools. ![]() Then they go on forums and feel like their tools are inadequate because of these comparisons to UAD.īut it seems like the comparison doesn't actually matter that much and that UAD isn't necessarily better than Waves at all. Like for the price of Pro-Q3 I can get Waves Gold with a million great plugins. Because we all see that many respected pro's have a lot of waves plugins in their arsenal, and the plugins are always on sale for pretty reasonable prices. But they are a bit pricey.īut there are people all over the internet who say UAD is second to none while also saying Waves plugins are garbage.īeginner bedroom producers naturally flock to waves. Their interfaces and plugins and now even their guitar pedals are all excellent. UAD presents itself like the Apple of the digital music production age. People also constantly compare Waves plugins to UAD, because both companies make a lot of plugins designed to emulate the very same classic analog gear. So people hate on Waves in general because of their business model of charging for an update plan at a per-plugin price in order to update the plugins. TL DR: I don't think it matters which you use. ![]() |
